  • Utilize environmental testing equipment, HALT and other methods to be able to precipitate failures as a precursor to in depth Failure Analysis.

  • Lead the selection, qualification, testing, and Failure Analysis of materials and processes, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.

  • Control: work cross functionally with Product, Assembly and Test Engineers to support material analysis efforts to ensure that customer and supplier projects are executed on time with high quality.

  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities with areas through effective communication and ensures where quality issues arise that root cause is determined, and the appropriate actions are agreed and implemented.

  • Coordinate: implement various operational and maintenance alternatives to leverage Cost Savings to comply with internal/external customer demands for timely repairs of process equipment.

  • Perform process capability analysis, Failure Analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies or field returns, and troubleshoot manufacturing line issues.

  • Contribute to development of Failure Analysis processes and share results cross functionally to ensure reliability of new system/product/process/component design (electrical components, connectors, thermal interface materials).

  • Be accountable for demonstrating a high level of innovation and initiative in identifying, responding to, and resolving new product and process development issues.

  • Organize Failure Analysis efforts among numerous engineers, technicians and customers, ensuring priority is clear and management is updated on status.

  • Establish: Problem Solving/ Failure Analysis, disposable layout and component design, design verification and validation test activities and collaboration/coordination with other cross functional teams quality, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.

  • Identify: innovation, Problem Solving, development and Continuous Improvement of equipment and processes through application of Experimental Design and Statistical Methods.

  • Evaluate all information from a technical perspective and ensure investigation, Root Cause Analysis, and Quality Engineering review is appropriate.

  • Develop new methodologies, equipment and capabilities to characterize and qualify materials and components, along with associated Standard Work.

  • Perform failure and Root Cause Analysis on electrical and optical circuits, and identify Corrective Actions to improve reliability of deployed products.

  • Standardize: conduct functional and physical Failure Analysis on optical products that failed in the field, during reliability qualification, and in manufacturing.

With this Three Step process you will have all the tools you need for any Failure Analysis project with this in-depth Failure Analysis Toolkit.

In using the Toolkit you will be better able to:

  • Diagnose Failure Analysis projects, initiatives, organizations, businesses and processes using accepted diagnostic standards and practices
  • Implement evidence-based best practice strategies aligned with overall goals
  • Integrate recent advances in Failure Analysis and put process design strategies into practice according to best practice guidelines

Defining, designing, creating, and implementing a process to solve a business challenge or meet a business objective is the most valuable role; In EVERY company, organization and department.

Unless you are talking a one-time, single-use project within a business, there should be a process. Whether that process is managed and implemented by humans, AI, or a combination of the two, it needs to be designed by someone with a complex enough perspective to ask the right questions. Someone capable of asking the right questions and step back and say, 'What are we really trying to accomplish here? And is there a different way to look at it?'

This Toolkit empowers people to do just that - whether their title is entrepreneur, manager, consultant, (Vice-)President, CxO etc... - they are the people who rule the future. They are the person who asks the right questions to make Failure Analysis investments work better.

This Failure Analysis All-Inclusive Toolkit enables You to be that person.
