Mystery student - experiencing the Help Desk Analyst online training
5th Oct 2016
It has been a very long time since I have stepped foot in a school.
The mere thought of going through the experience again is very scary, especially for somebody like me, who have been domesticated so to speak for a long time. I knew, then, that a formal school setting would not be appropriate for me.
After deliberating as to what type of course I would like to be knowledgeable at, I decided on learning about Information Technology because of its timeliness and relevance to our daily lives now. But I couldn't get too technical since I know that it would need longer time to become skilled at, so I thought that a Help Desk Technician course would somehow be in the middle.
Fortunately, I have been introduced to The Art of Service Education Programs (theartofservice.org). I checked thoroughly the company information and I have been impressed by their vast network coverage. Their worldwide reach gave me a feeling that their courses, particularly the Help Desk Programs, would be difficult. But that fear was dispelled because their website is easily manageable.
I breezed through the registration process, which further eased my nerves. The first thing I checked, and maybe the most important one for a first-timer like me is the support system. I wasn't disappointed because the link for the support activities, like forums, are accessible, not to mention that all my queries are answered promptly. I know that others might think that this is just a simple step to go through but for me, this is a start of my new adventure into learning.
