National Business Development Manager for IT Training and Certification Sales - First Year OTE $100K

Established in global e-Learning for over 12 years The Art of Service provides a range of on-demand Training Solutions offerings to the Career Driven IT Professional with a strong culture of repeat business and customer service for our global client base. We are now looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager to expand our Australian footprint with a completely new range of subscription based in demand courses and certification for the corporate IT Professional market.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Managing Director and Finance Manager this is a 100% new business role with commission on every completed sale. Your time will be split between client visits and follow up activities in the office. We expect you to be out talking to clients each week (as needed). You will work with the management team to create the sales strategy and execution plan, which YOU will action.
The right person will combine their proven direct sales experience and an interest in technology and education to succeed in this role. A professional approach and outgoing personality is a must.
The successful candidate will possess a forward thinking attitude combined with the maturity to deal effectively at (senior) management level. You also need to have a strong 'can-do' attitude and have the maturity to 'roll up your sleeves' to get the job done.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A strong track record in direct sales, preferably with a technology focus.
- Exude personality and enthusiasm.
- Sales accountable, dependable and structured in the way you work.
- Technology literate with a genuine interest in the IT education industry.
- Excellent telephone manner and email etiquette , presenting as professional and confident, yet consultative to potential clients.
- A strong communicator with the ability to represent our company positively at all times and at all levels.
- An effective time manager, able to work autonomously whilst remaining an integral part of our team.
- Self starter / self motivator - strong sense of accountability and ownership of the role
- Ability to succeed on a solid base + commission basis.
What is on offer
For the right person The Art of Service is willing to offer a base salary between $50,000 - $60,000 + super with an expected OTE OF $100K in the first year (with trailing commissions). You will be provided ongoing training and support as well as autonomy in the role.
